Posted by Gray Patton

This gluten free recipe is a great spur-of-the-moment recipe because we always have the ingredients on hand. Besides being quick, easy and delicious, it's gluten free!

1 c. sugar
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 t. vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Roll dough into 1" balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Use a fork to press a crisscross pattern into the top of each cookie. Bake at 315 for 10 min. or until golden. Let cool before removing from sheet. Makes 24.

Very Worn Shirt

In February of 2017, a customer posted a review on Yelp saying we had ruined a “new” $70 shirt. The customer thought we had cut/sliced the collar during pressing. Since shirt collars and cuffs are pressed flat, it would have been impossible for the collar to have been cut by us

Shirt in Yelp review

The photo of the shirt in question clearly shows extensive wear. The shirt showed extensive wear on the collar, cuffs and pocket.

We are not perfect and have compensated customers for damages even if we were not sure it was our fault. This shirt was clearly not our fault and we chose not to compensate the customer.

Could your sunscreen be ruining your clothes?

Posted by Gray Patton

Did you know...

In summer you should be careful with sunscreens as they can fade or stain your clothes. Most sunscreens contain avobenzone, the chemical that eliminates the harmful effects of long-ray UVA. The problems is that it can cause orange stains that are difficult to remove.

If you send us a garment with an orange sunscreen stain, please let us know. It will increase the likelihood that we will be able to remove it.

Growing Green

Hot is not cool.  If you wash your clothes in hot water instead of cold, in a year you would use more electricity than if you left the refrigerator door open 24 hours a day.

Did You Know?

Keeping up with regular cleanings allows garments to keep their shape longer.  Let us know about stains before having them cleaned.  Do not try to remove stains yourself.  Blot spills without rubbing and take to the cleaners as soon as possible.  Attempting to remove stains from some fabrics, like silks, can cause permanent damage.

Shoe Cleaning and Repair

We can have your "wounded" shoes polished and/or repaired.  If you need shoes polished or have a repair such as new heels or souls, a zipper replaced in a boot, etc., bring them in OR, if you are a pickup and delivery customer, put them in a grocery bag and place the bag inside your green Dry Cleaning Central bag with instructions.  The shoes are normally returned in a week.
